$580.00

This is a replica of the Aero Clothing Company Beacon, NY. Contract 42-18775-P which was issued on May 18, 1942 for 50,000 jackets. Aero tended to use a darker seal horsehide or cowhide and most of the contract had red knits in various shades.

The Aero’s tended to have a boxier profile than jackets from other makers and were generally a little shorter in the body.

This jacket is a comfortable 46 in hand dyed seal brown horsehide. It features bright red wool knits and reproduction Talon M42 zipper. The jacket has only been worn for try-ons and is lightly weathered to give a broken in appearance.

The Cable Raincoat company was issued a contract by the U.S. Army in January of 1942 for 10,000 “Jacket-Flying, Type A-2”.
