Patterned from an original 1930’s jacket that has been in the family for over 70 years, the Tweedy Cossack is the ultimate in vintage comfort and style for modern wear. Made from russet goatskin color matched to the original (you have to look in the folds and pockets to find the unfaded bits) this jacket features a zip front with notched collar, hand warmer pockets, full bi-swing back, and welted button cuffs using reproduction 1930’s cats-eye buttons.
The fit is trim but comfortable, sitting right at the waistline and the full bi-swing back allows an almost unlimited amount of movement.
The jacket can be made unlined (as the original was) or lined with either cotton twill or wool plaid. Zipper choices include reproduction Conmar, Talon, and prewar Talon grommet zippers.
The Tweedy Cossack can be made in russet goatskin or seal brown horsehide.
